The only autumn colours around these parts are these beautiful blooms in my neighbourhood. My autumn scents are coming from the orange-cinnamon candle I burn every once a while in my room. And as for pumpkin? Well, that'll have to be the butternut squash currently sitting in my fridge. I think I'll turn it into pancakes or some mini-pies.
It’s hard for me to believe that it was one year ago that I was getting ready to fly to Canada for my 3-month sabbatical. I sometimes feel like it was just yesterday. My longing for anything autumnal is making me a wee-bit homesick, not to mention the amazing addition to my family in Canada. My sister is expecting her first child in October, and this auntie is paying close attention, albeit from a far.
